The Start Of Something New-Senior Sunrise

For the class of 2026, the sun has risen on their final year of high school. On Sunday August 24, 2025 at 5:30 in the morning, all seniors congregated on the turf field for a special sunrise, symbolizing the start of a brand new year and everything to look forward to as a senior.

“I believe that senior sunrise was a huge success,” stated Class of ‘26 board member Emma Bunk. “Lots of people showed up and everyone was having fun taking pictures and enjoying the sunrise.”

Pictures taken with phones, digital cameras, and Polaroids all hold memories that the senior class will cherish forever. The Woodland spirit rock is also a large part of senior activities, painting it black and gold with the graduating year entwined in writing on the rock.

Class of 2026 now have long lasting memories and a hopeful look to the future

“Everyone really came together when decorating the rock,” said senior Emily Moore. “A lot of people also stayed to decorate their cars and it really showed how everyone was excited for the year to come”
