Woodland had a fundraiser this past week, it was the Double Goods Fundraiser and it started Monday, December 8, at 9:00 A.M, and ended on Sunday, December 14, at 9:00 A.M. The fundraiser will help to cover the cost of prom tickets, ordering pizza, hallway decorating for special occasions, or even bringing in Munchkins after SATs.
According to senior class advisor Meghan Geary, seniors are most encouraged to participate in order to get some money off of their senior events. To enter and participate in the Double Good Fundraiser, students first downloaded the Double Good app from the app store, and signed up using a code from the PowerPoint. From there a pop up shop was set up and sales were made. Then you could share a link for others to visit your site to buy popcorn.
The popcorn came in a variety of flavors, and shipping was not exclusively limited to Connecticut. They could have been shipped nationally to the 50 states, but not internationally.
The class of 2026 raised a grand total of $21,161 and had 422 supporters. Of the $21,161 the class of 2026 kept $10,580.50 which will go towards their prom and other senior class activities.
The top six sellers raised over 1,000 dollars and will keep about half of that meaning that they will be attending the prom for free.
The top six sellers were Taylor Syombathy who raised $2,972, Isabella Peralta who raised $2,716, Emma Lopez who raised $1,755, Jaren Hoffman who raised $1,356, Lauryn Mason who raised $1,174 and lastly Ava Napiello who raised $1,031.
Overall this fundraiser was very successful for the class of 2026 and will no doubt aid them in having an excellent prom.
