Only a few more days till the girls will be back playing tennis on the courts, practicing for matches and warming up for a great season.
As the girls step onto the courts, the sun beams, and a cool breeze blows. Happily warming up for their first practice of the season, you can hear the continuous laughs and excitement in their voices.
There’s so much to love about tennis: the matches coming up, the unbreakable bonds you build with teammates, the pure joy of being on the court, and especially, achieving a perfect tan.
Win or lose, tennis is more than just about how well you play; it’s about how when you’re in a match, you can hear your teammates on the side cheering you on. This could have such a positive effect on the player, boosting their confidence and improving their performance.
All of the girls are anticipating the amazing season ahead.
Junior Zoe Moriarty says, “I can’t wait to be outside in the beautiful warm weather.” For her, it’s exactly what is needed after the long winter of not being on the court.
Hanna Molleur, Junior, agrees. “I am so excited to be playing tennis again.” She’s looking forward to all of the matches and practices, ready for a great season.
Senior, Olivia McDonald, also wants to be out on the courts. “I can’t wait to get outside into the beautiful sunshine, and play with the team,” said McDonald.
All of the girls who play tennis love their sport, and when they are on off season, nothing feels right; only the sound of their racquets hitting the ball can be the fix for this feeling.
