Oh Places You’ll go

April Break is just around the corner, starting on April 12th, and everyone at school is getting excited about their vacation plans. After months of tests and homework, it is finally time to get away for a little while. Some people will be planning trips to sunny places, while others will be staying home to relax. No matter where people were going, the main thing was getting a break from school and having some fun with friends and family.

A lot of my classmates head to places like Florida, or go on cruises to Bermuda or Bahamas.  Some visit family in other states, and others will probably go on college tour trips with friends or family. Whatever it was, everyone was looking forward to some time off.

Some people are keeping their plans low-key, saying they are just going to stay home and catch up on sleep or hang out with friends. Others are looking for adventure, eager to get away and try something new. Either way, April Break felt like the perfect chance to chill out and do whatever you want to do.

“I’m heading to Daytona, Florida, for April Break to visit family, hit up some skate parks, and relax at the beach. I can’t wait to take a break from school and get a nice tan,” says junior Ethan Henry.

One of the coolest things about April Break is how everyone has different ideas for what they want to do. Some wanted to go on a big trip, while others were happy with a quiet, local getaway. Whether it is the beach, a hike in the mountains, or just some time to relax at home, the break was a chance for everyone to recharge and enjoy a little freedom before heading back to school.  “Aidan and I are going to Florida and we are going to enjoy the sun, water, and gators!” says junior Trent Burkowsky.

As April 12th draws closer, it was clear that no matter where people went, it was going to be an amazing break.

Senior Will DeLucia says “I’m going to be at home chilling with my friends and relaxing with my family. It’s a much needed break because March is a long month and you are due for a break so it fits in perfectly.”

Whether it is exploring a new place or just taking it easy, April Break is all about enjoying the time off and making the most of it.
