Woodland Esports Season Comes to a Close

The esports season blazed to a thrilling close at Woodland, leaving behind a legacy of intensity, passion, and unforgettable moments. From moments that felt tough to feeling the rush of a victory like no other, this tenacious crew made some pretty remarkable memories throughout their season.

The season ended off on a great note, the team had a four for four record and gained many new athletes that pushed the team to their best. Their season ended against Conard High school and ended up bringing the win home scoring 3-1. The top three scoring players for this game was Tyler Polaski, Phillip Sirois, and Blake Polaski.

One athlete that stuck out during this amazing season is Arthur Schultz he was the captain of the team helping and aiding the team to each victory but still persevering through hard games and practices.

“I learned that I need to train and learn how to play better so I can teach my players more specific things in the game,” said Schultz.

There were many important takeaways from the season and Schlutz is ready to take on the challenges of next season with the new knowledge he has learned from this season.

James Amato, a head coach for the esports team has marked his gratitude for this team and everything it has taught him to do and how to become a better coach.

“I know that both me and coach Geary are going to look into how we can better support what we’re doing since we struggled early on with how to run the program and some of the technology aspects of it,” said Amato.

The team has many goals and aspirations for the next coming season but something that they are hoping to get done and not just done but done in a proper manner would be to have a better format for how to set the team up and to add in additional sports but still plan on playing Super Smash Bros which is the esports top game to play in, but lately they have been considering adding in Marvel games to up their performance values and have variety as a team.
