Indoor Track Season Preview

As the indoor track season kicks off, athletes are ready to showcase their hard work and dedication. Tomorrow marks the start of the competition, with the first meet set to take place at the Glastonbury venue. Some of the team’s athletes have shared their feelings and goals for the season.

Junior Logan Mack is confident and knows his goals.

“[I want] to do well in my events and try to be really good with the team,” said Mack. “I want to connect with the newcomers.”

Mack is not alone. Junior Andrew Paradis also has specific goals.

“Improve my distance, my speed, and my pace,” said Paradis.

Coach Frank Posca is very optimistic about the season.

“We have a small but mighty crew, both from the boys’ and girls’ side,” said Posca. “We have a lot of students who were in Cross Country or Outdoor Track last year as well. So a lot of students who want to be involved want to work hard, and I’m excited to see how they progress through the season,” said Posca.

Posca has a specific goal this year.

“My goal is to get as many athletes qualified for NVLs, get as many athletes medaling in events, and get them some state experience as well. So the more exposure they get, hopefully the better they get, and the more medals they earn. That’s my ultimate goal: to get students into NVLs, into states, and earn some medals,” Posca said.
