The perfect nails for the perfect style. Many girls know the feeling; when you’ve just got your new nails, a fresh set of your favorite color that matches your outfit, upcoming holiday, or special event. 

It’s the happiest feeling when you walk into the salon having so many different colors to choose from, or already set on what you want, and having that constant thought about whether you want a design or solid color on your nails. 

To girls, a manicure is about more than just the polish; it’s about the feeling afterward. There’s just something about getting your nails done that makes a girl feel so happy and complete. So many colors to choose from, but the most popular have been pinks and blues. Some girls like designs on their nails, full of color, while others prefer the beautiful solid colors. 

For Woodland Regional High School students, getting their nails done is a very popular and much-loved thing to do. Senior Maddie Connan consistently chooses pink on her nails. 

“I get pink because it’s my favorite color,” states Connan.  She always gets her nails done, full of different designs, and wants them to complete her outfit. 

Junior Hanna Molleur loves getting her nails done with all different colors. Always switching it up, she never fails to have a fun design on her nails. During the summer, she will do bright colored designs. For holidays such as Christmas, she might do a beautiful festive design with shades of red. 

Senior Emma DeGeorge loves the color blue on her nails. She gets her nails done on special occasions  and loves getting designs. If it’s for a special occasion like homecoming, she will make sure her nails match her dress perfectly. 

All of the different nail designs these girls love to do says so much about who they are and what they like. Each one of them is unique; nails express them more as a person, giving more of a glimpse into who they are. 

Having your nails done is like an extra boost of confidence. It’s important to choose something you love and something that screams: you… because there’s just something amazing about looking down at your nails that you chose and seeing something that you love.
